Kerry Juhl

Kerry Juhl is a certified health coach and an innovator and leader in worksite health promotion with more than 20 years in the industry. As owner of Inspired Health Consulting and Coaching, Kerry consults with companies of all sizes and brings innovative solutions to their onsite health promotion needs. Kerry has an intimate knowledge of health promotion design. Her years of experience working with the business community to design and deliver innovative and results-oriented wellness solutions have helped her to build a keen eye for what will work in any given worksite environment. In addition to worksite solutions, Inspired Health provides individual coaching utilizing Take Shape for Life, an entirely new approach to wellbeing, based on creating optimal health, not reacting to illness.

 

Kerry serves as the senior business consultant for WELLCOM, a non-profit organization that began as the Wellness Council of the Midlands in 1982 focused on workplace wellness. More than 30 years later, WELLCOM continues its mission of elevating workplace wellness and serves hundreds of employers throughout the Midwest. WELLCOM partners with employers to deliver wellness programs that impact employee wellbeing and wellness, strengthen the culture and drive business results.

 

Kerry previously served as vice president of The Other Health Plan, providing strategic direction and leadership in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of their product offerings. The Other Health Plan is a comprehensive solution for health improvement at the workplace, helping employers engage, educate and empower employees to create healthier habits and behaviors while impacting the overall workplace culture.

 

Prior to joining The Other Health Plan, Kerry led the Wellness Council of Iowa for over 13 years. She shaped the nonprofit organization from a local group into a leading statewide health and wellness organization. As its executive director, Kerry oversaw all operations for the nonprofit membership organization and was a hands-on administrator. She coordinated the highly respected and well-attended statewide worksite wellness conference annually.

Kerry also served as the director of regional health management for the Health and Wellness Institute – a health management solution company focused on improving quality of life at three levels – individual, community and worksite. She worked with senior management and accounts to develop strategic health and wellness organizational goals and recommended projects to achieve the goals. She also played a role in developing new products for clients.

 

Kerry was the Wellness Coordinator for the City of Ames, Iowa, responsible for coordinating the wellness program for the Ames community and the City of Ames employees.  Community program responsibilities included supervision of staff, development, promotion, instruction and evaluation of fitness and nutrition classes, self-defense programs, special events, equipment purchases and related program development. Kerry was responsible for all aspects of the City employee wellness program initiatives and paved the way for their national recognition as a Well Workplace.
