Mentor Training
Mentoring
- helping one another with behavior change attempts, is typically
the missing component of a behavior change strategy. The mentoring
program - offered
in conjunction with Dr. Judd Allen - is designed to teach fellow employees, family,
and friends critical skills to use with those attempting to make
health behavior changes.
By exposing employees, management, counselors/coaches and family
members to this skill set they will be prepared to offer support.
As part of
the mentor training, the following skills are addressed:
• Modeling
• Overcoming barriers
• Goal setting
• Supportive environment
• Working through relapse
• Celebrating success
